Is my voice really never recorded?

Yes, completely. When you press the mic button, your browser or phone OS handles speech-to-text locally on your device. Friday never receives audio — only the transcribed text. This is the same technology used by iOS dictation and Chrome voice search. No audio file is ever sent to our servers.

Which AI models does Friday use?

Friday supports multiple models. Free tier: Groq Llama 3.3 70B — extremely fast, always available. Premium: Gemini 2.5 Flash — faster with longer context. Premium+: Gemini 2.5 Pro — the most capable model available. Auto mode automatically selects the best available model for each message based on quota and your plan.

Does the free plan actually work, or is it just a trial?

The free plan is a full, permanent tier — not a trial. You get 100 AI messages per day and unlimited basic image generation. It resets every day at midnight. You can use Friday free forever with no expiry, no credit card, and no hidden limits.

How do I install Friday on my phone?

iPhone (Safari): Open app.heyfriday.co, tap the Share button, then “Add to Home Screen.” Android (Chrome): Open the site, tap the three-dot menu, then “Add to Home Screen.” Friday is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — you get a full app experience without the App Store.

Does Friday work offline?

The AI assistant requires an internet connection to send and receive responses. However, speech recognition works offline because it runs on-device. Once the app is installed as a PWA, the app shell loads instantly even on slow connections.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. When you delete your account, all your chat history, profile data and preferences are permanently erased from our systems immediately. There is no retention period.

What is the difference between Premium and Premium+?

Premium ($5/mo) gives you 1,000 messages per month and Gemini 2.5 Flash — great for daily use. Premium+ ($15/mo) gives you 3,000 messages per month, 500 image credits, and Gemini 2.5 Pro — the most powerful model, best for code, analysis and complex tasks.

Does Friday use my conversations to train AI?

No. Your conversations are not used to train any AI model — not ours, and not any third-party model provider. What you say to Friday remains private. We do not sell, share or analyse conversation data.

What browsers and devices does Friday support?

Friday works on all modern browsers. Best experience: Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android for full voice support and PWA install. Also works on Chrome, Edge and Firefox on desktop. Voice input requires a browser that supports the Web Speech API — all major browsers do.
